Space for Nonsense
I’m trying to keep a small, protected corner of my brain reserved for nonsense. For design that doesn’t need approval. For art that might be dumb but goes hard anyway. Between corporate freelancing and TWIN STAR hu$tling, it’s tricky to find the bandwidth, but I did this week.
“If you’re going to be stupid, you have to be tough.”
— allegedly Michael Crichton
— definitely a song by Roger Alan Wade
— spiritually owned by a shopping cart powered by bottlerockets
This quote feels like a business model. Also a fitness plan. Also most of my 20s.
The shopping cart is there because the gentlemen scholars of Jackass looked at gravity and said, “Is gravity really a law? And if it is… who’s enforcing it?” Legality is not the same as morality. Physics is often the enemy of valor. History is written by the survivors.
Static post Tuesday. Almost missed it. But if you’re going to be stupid, you have to be consistent.
